Ankita Nair is an undergraduate student at UCLA fascinated by the connection between mental health and sleep. After volunteering for a sleep clinic in high school and learning about the harmful effects of sleep deprivation, she made it her personal goal to educate students about sleep. She is the founder and president of Sleep, Health, and Dreams at UCLA, a student-run organization that educates students and community members about sleep and mental health. She is currently collaborating with researchers at Stanford’s Center for Sleep Sciences and Medicine. After college, Ankita plans to pursue a career in medicine.
